Coach VanCleave is the Girls Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach and 7th grade Volleyball Coach. She played Volleyball and Basketball at GCCC. Then went to Wichita State to play Volleyball. She received her degree in Education from Fort Hays University. This will be her 8th year teaching Science. She also coaches 7th grade Volleyball here at Bonner Springs. She has been in the coaching for the last 20 years, Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. Her husband is Todd and she has 2 kids, Conner, 21 and Wren, 15.
Cody Scott is the Freshman Girls Basketball Coach and Middle School Track Coach. Coach Scott attended Friends University for 2 years and played basketball. Transferred to Kansas University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education. This is his second year of coaching and coaches both girls basketball and middle school track. His hobbies include playing basketball, golfing, working out and spending time with family.
Coach Beau Bragg is currently the CMS Girls Head Track Coach. He played football and ran track at Friends University for a year before transferring and graduating from Wichita State University in 2003 with a degree in K-12 Physical Education. He also earned his Master's from Emporia State University in 2011. Coach Bragg has taught K-5 Physical Education at Bonner Springs Elementary since 2004. His coaching experience in USD 204 includes BSHS football, CMS football, and CMS Track & Field. If you haven't seen him teaching or coaching, you may have seen him keeping the scorebook at varsity basketball games since 2004. Coach Bragg and his wife enjoy spending time watching their three boys compete in their sport endeavors. When Coach Bragg finds time, he enjoys playing a round of golf and working out.
Julia Ruszczyk is the our CMS Cheer Coach. She is from am from Shawnee, KS and attended Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. Coach Julia went to K-State and received her degree in Secondary Education- Social Studies. She danced and cheered growing up and danced on the Drill Team through high school. She loves dance and cheer!
Coach Trent Dean graduated from Baker University and received a Masters degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University. He has been teaching and coaching at Clark Middle School his entire career. Currently he am the assistant 8th grade girls and 8th grade boys basketball coach. Coach Riley is also an assistant middle school track coach. When not teaching and coaching at his favorite school, he enjoys watching his nieces and nephews play sports and hiking and biking on his favorite trails.
Coach Kirk Duckers is in his 2nd year of teaching Special Education and Coaching 8th grade football at Clark Middle Schooll. Coach Duckers is in his 19th year of teaching and has 9 years of coaching experience, including both football and wrestling. He is a 1993 graduate from Bishop Ward high school where he grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. Duckers education is from B.A. Washburn University (English) and M.S. Emporia State (Special Education). His hobbies include traveling, hiking, reading, and movie watching.
Brooke Grable attended Washburn University where she graduated with her degree in Elementary Education, she is currently working on her Master's Degree. When not in the classroom, you can find her on the volleyball court or softball field. She have coached high school softball for five years and this will be her second year coaching middle school volleyball. For fun, Coach Grable loves to spend quality time with family and friends and play with her fur baby Denver!
Coach Marmon is the long distance running coach for the CMS Track Program. Before starting her career with USD 204 in 2004, she graduated from University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Family Services. She went on to obtained her masters degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University in Arizona in 2010. During her free time she enjoys running, hiking, reading, and spending time traveling. Coach Marmon previously coached middle school volleyball for 9 years, coached middle school long distance running for 4 years and shot put and discus for 3 years.
Coach Campbell was a 3-sport varsity letter winner while attending Garden City HS. She won multiple awards for volleyball, basketball and track. Her highest accomplishment was becoming a 6A State Champion in both the shot put and discus her Senior year. She then went to MidAmerica Nazarene University on a basketball and track scholarship and was a NAIA All-American Hammer thrower setting several records for the Pioneers. She has been coaching since 2005, first at the college level at MNU and now with the CMS and BSHS throwers as well as volleyball at CMS. Coach Campbell teaches math at BSHS and is also the NHS and FCA sponsor. She is married and has 4 daughters; McKenzie, Allison, Taylor and Emily.
Brooke Wornkey graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Health and Physical Education. She then went on and received her masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Baker University. Coach Wornkey is the head girls 7th grade basketball coach. During her free time she enjoys spending time with family, watching movies, and working out.
