We are excited to start our basketball season this week as I am sure the boys are too.  I wanted to let you know about a few things that have come up and a few tips that will help make the season go smoother for you as a parent.
  1. The CMS gym (as most middle school gyms) are not the same size as a high school facility.  Therefore, the CMS gym does not have enough seating to maintain social distancing for spectators and players at the same time.
  2. All games will be live streamed.  You can go to the USD204 athletics page and click on the camera icon and it will link you to the game.
  3. Attached you will see what schools are allowing spectators at their games.  Remember that we play schools in other counties so the guidelines are different than Wyandotte County.  Be prepared for guidelines to change game by game.  The coaches will send information out to you if this occurs.
  4. Athletes are expected to wear their masks appropriately throughout the games and practices. (over the nose, over the mouth, and under the chin)  Make sure your athlete has a mask they feel comfortable in and that can follow those guidelines.
  5. Every athlete is expected to bring their own water bottle with their name on it.
We are excited for the season and ready to play some basketball!  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
