Peyton Leslie is married with 4 daughters. He has over 19 years of coaching experience. He has coached and taught skill development at almost every level from 3rd grade to High School Varsity. Peyton is a graduate of F. L. Schlagle High School where he won 2 State Basketball Championships in ’93 and ’95. He was also named to the All-Metro Basketball Team and a member of the All-State Basketball team his Senior year. He then went on to play at Coffeyville Community College under Jay Herkelman and GrandView University in Des Moines, IA. There he was a 2-time Conference Player of the year and a 2-time NAIA All-American. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Grandview University and a Masters of Education from Avila University. Peyton is also the owner/founder of SHOtime Basketball Academy. Since 2012 SHOtime has provided skill development for the KC metro area and girls/boys competitive basketball teams for grades 3-11.
Coach VanCleave is the Girls Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach. She played Volleyball and Basketball at GCCC. Then went to Wichita State to play Volleyball. She received her degree in Education from Fort Hays University. This will be her 8th year teaching Science. She also coaches 7th grade Volleyball here at Bonner Springs. She has been in the coaching for the last 20 years, Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. Her husband is Todd and she has 2 kids, Conner, 21 and Wren, 15.
Cody Scott is the Freshman Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Scott attended Friends University for 2 years and played basketball. Transferred to Kansas University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education. This is his second year of coaching and coaches both girls basketball and middle school track. His hobbies include playing basketball, golfing, working out and spending time with family.
Coach Brandon Jobe is married to Jacalyn Jobe and has 4 children, Judson (7), Benton (5), Brynlee (3), Kambree (1). After graduating from Piper High School he went on to Labette Community College (1999-2001) Fort Hays State University (2001-2004) - Undergrad and Fort Hays State University (2004-2006) - Masters. HIs coaching experience come from Graduate Assistant FHSU (2004-2006), Assistant Coach FHSU (2006-2009), Bonner Springs Head Coach (2009 - Present), Clark Middle School Head/Assistant Coach (2009-Present). Coaching highlights include BSHS Coaching Highlights: 5 State Top 5 finishes, 3 State Top 3 finishes, 9 State Champions, 35 State Placers, 2011/2018/2019 KWCA Regional Coach of the Year
2012/2018 KWCA 4A Coach of the Year, 2018 Kansas Wrestling Officials Association Coach of the Year, 3 USA Wrestling All-Americans, 1 World Team Member, 48 Freestyle/Greco-Roman State Champions, 9 Metro Classic Selections, 6X Metro Classic Coach Selection, 2017 NAIA Champions of Character Selection, 133 Career Dual Wins and Kansas National Team Coach (2007-2014). Coach Jobe was also the BSHS Assistant Golf Coach (2018-2020) In his spare time he enjoys fishing and golf.
Coach Dan Streit is the current head coach at Bonner Springs High School where he is entering his 10th year at the helm. His 109-63 record is the 2nd best in school history and includes State 5A appearances in 2016 and 2018. He has won back to back league titles, winning the Kaw Valley League in 2017 and then the Frontier League in 2018. Coach Streit graduated from Kinsley High School in 1985, Fort Hays State University in 1991, and earned his Master of Education Degree from MidAmerican Nazarene University in 2001. He has been married to his wife Karen for 26 years, and all three of his children have been through the USD 204 school system.
