Coach Blaze received his Bachelors Degree in Physical Education at Wichita State University. This is his 5th year Teaching Weights/PE at the High School. This Fall he will be entering his first year as Head Football Coach at BSHS, 6th year overall coaching football. 4 years at BSHS, 1 year at Olathe North, and 1 year at Wichita Northwest High School. Coach Blaze is also entering his 1st year as Head Powerlifting, he has coached Wrestling for 4 years before. 2 years at BSHS, 1 year at Olathe North, and 1 year at Shawnee Mission North. During the Spring season he is the Head Softball Coach at BSHS, this is his 4th year. In his off time he enjoys golfing and speding time with his wife, Jordan Blazevic.
Hailing from Overland Park, Kansas, Deron Dangerfield returns to BSHS for his second year as the Defensive Backs coach.A former Defensive Back himself, Deron attended the University of Kansas where he gained a love and appreciation for the development and progression of players. When he's not running drills and sprints, he enjoys traveling, going to the gym, and watching movies.
Originally from Shawnee, KS, this is Coach Ratzloff's first year teaching and coaching at Bonner Springs High School. This 2020-2021 school year, he will be an assistant coaching the offensive linemen in the fall football season, as well as serving as an assistant coach for the baseball team in the spring. Soon after graduation from McPherson College in 2014, Coach Ratzloff began coaching at De Soto High School. This will be his first year coaching football and his sixth year coaching baseball. In his free time, he can typically be found on the golf course working on his horrendous slice off the tee box. He is very excited to be a Brave and is looking forward to seeing students grow not only in the classroom, but on the athletic field.
Bonner Springs High School Boys Soccer
Head Coach: Kevin Riley Assistant Soccer Coach: Ethan Isaacs and David Toland
Coach Riley began playing soccer at the age of 7. He played 6 years with the club Southeast Sidekicks. He eventually went on to play for 3 years at Emporia State University and has a minor in Coaching. After college Coach Riley began coaching various sports from all levels of youth through high school varsity. Kevin was the Youth Sports Coordinator and Youth Soccer Director for the El Dorado YMCA. Kevin coached club for 10 seasons between the Augusta and Heartland leagues winning 6 division titles. Coach Riley was on the Board of Directors for 2 years for OPSC (Overland Park Soccer Club) and coached for 6 seasons at Free State High School in the Sunflower League. Bonner Springs High School Cross Country
Head Coach: Mike Lewis
Assistant Coach: AJ Hill
Coach Lewis graduated from East Providence High School, in East Providence Rhode Island. While there he ran year round competing in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. After high school Lewis ran cross country for the Community College of Rhode Island, where he was a member of the 1983 New England Regional championship team. After serving almost 10 years on active duty in the US Army, Lewis attended and graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He worked in corporate America for a decade before coming to work for USD 204. He has been a paraprofessional, at CMS, In-School Suspension (ISS) at both CMS and BSHS and is presently the registrar at BSHS. Coach Lewis has experience at both the high school and middle school levels. While the high school experience comes from Rhode Island, the past 6 years have been with CMS as the head coach for boys/girls cross country as well as the girls track head coach. He and his family have been residents of Bonner Springs since 1999.
Coach AJ Hill is in her 4th year teaching math and coaching at Bonner Springs High School. She currently serves as an assistant cross country coach, assistant powerlifting coach, and assistant track coach specializing in throwing events. She graduated from Campus High school in Haysville, Kansas and then pursued her undergraduate degree at Southwest Baptist University while competing in track and field as a thrower and later when on to earn her master's degree from Friends University. In addition to teaching and coaching her passion is working with Gold Glove Charities. Along with her seven kids, she am blessed to be a part of the Bonner Springs High School family!

BJ Congleton is in his 3rd year as Head Girl's Tennis Coach, 9 years in the program, 9 years as Assistant Boy's Tennis Coach, 8th grade Social Studies teacher for 15 years at Clark Middle School. Mr. Congleton graduated from KU and went on to marry Shannel who is a 3rd grade teacher. He has two daughters who attend BSE. Ellie 8, and Maggie 6
Bonner Springs High School Cheerleading
This is Coach Hadley's third year as the head coach of the BSHS Cheerleading team. Originally from Lansing Kansas, she spent most of her growing up years in a dance studio. Hadley was a Lansing High School Varsity cheerleader for 4 years with two of those as acting captain and cheered at Emporia State University for one. She has over 17 years of Ballet, 8 years of Jazz, 2 years of Tap, and 4 years of Hip Hop experience. In the past, Coach Hadley has enjoyed working with dance studios, teams, and cheerleading squads to assist with choreography. She graduated from Kansas State University in 2018 with a degree in Secondary Education-English. She currently works as an 8th Grade ELA teacher at CMS.
