Bonner Springs Winter Activity Families,
At the current time, the Bonner Springs School District is limited on the events they will be able to host in district facilities for spectators. Below are the guidelines in which we will adhere when we host basketball events. Each venue/school/district in which we travel will have similar guidelines. Each program/sport/activity will be sending out the guidelines from different school districts once that information is received. Thank you for supporting all Bonner Springs activities.
- All participants are allowed a MAX of 2 parents/guardians per participating family.
- Per KSHSAA, the definition of “participant” allowing a parent/guardian includes: players, coaches, managers, cheer squads, dance teams, pep bands, and student journalists. “Participant” does not include event staff, medical personnel, administrators working media or recruiters in attendance.
- Home Cheerleaders will be limited to 8 on the east sideline.
- Visitor Cheerleaders will be limited to 8 on the west sideline.
- Dance team will be able to perform at the halftime of the V game only.
- All participants/spectators on-site shall properly wear a face covering at all times.
- All parents/guardians will check in at the ticket gate for temperature screening and record their name next to their participating member at all events.
- For the most part, there will be a $5 entry fee. No change will be given, please have an exact amount for entry.
- Sit in marked areas.
- There will be no re-entry once a person leaves the facility.
- No spectators will be allowed near courts or participants.
- Home team & spectators are expected to check temperature upon arrival.
- Home team & home spectators will enter through the north doors of the commons area and use the restrooms located downstairs. Seating will be in the downstairs north bleachers.
- Visiting teams are expected to temperature check before they leave and to be checked upon entry into the building.
- Visiting teams & spectators will enter through the south doors of the commons area and use the upstairs restrooms and will be seated in the upstairs south bleacher section.
- Visiting team spectators will sit on the upper south bleachers.
- Visiting teams must bring their own balls, water bottles, towels, etc.
- Locker rooms will be available.
- Host will provide hand sanitizer, spray disinfectant, and paper towels in the bench area.
- Expectation of participants is the keep the same seat/bench location during the event.
- No pregame or post game handshakes.
- When checking into the game athlete will maintain social distance from table and other players.
- All events will be broadcast on https://bravesbroadcast.live/ and https://www.facebook.com/BonnerSpringsBraves/
- Sports trainer will be on-site at all times.
